Position Title: SAT Math Teacher

Location: 1077 Budapest, Wesselényi u. 17. (W17)

Position Type: Part-time / Fixed-term Contract

Reports to: Head of SAT Programme

Job Summary

Milestone Institute is seeking an exceptional and dedicated SAT Math Teacher to deliver

high-quality exam preparation for our students. The successful candidate will guide students

through the mathematical concepts, problem-solving strategies, and standardized

methodologies required to excel in the SAT Math section. This role requires an educator who

can confidently break down complex quantitative problems in English while remaining familiar

with Hungarian mathematical contexts to best support local students.

Course & Contract Structure

Parameter Details

Duration of Contract September 28 – December 31, 2026, with
potential for regular contract renewal

Duration of Course Nine (9) weeks during the contract period

Hours & Commitment Total of 27 hours; 3 contact hours per week
(1.5 hours x 2 groups)

Schedule Classes will take place on evenings and/or
Saturdays (TBD)

Remuneration Gross 500,000 – 600,000 HUF, depending
upon experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, structured, and exam-focused math lessons to two distinct student

groups (totaling 3 contact hours per week) based upon a pre-determined curriculum.

  • Provide student-centered instruction, helping learners understand advanced quantitative

reasoning, algebra, geometry, and data analysis concepts covered by the SAT.

  • Monitor and support student progress, helping them build confidence, familiarity, and

pacing skills for standardized testing frameworks.

  • Collaborate with the Teaching and Learning team to maintain the operational and

pedagogical integrity of Milestone’s academic offerings.

Requirements

  • Academic Background: Strong academic background in mathematics.
  • English Proficiency: C1+ level English proficiency
  • Terminology: Familiarity with mathematical terminology in Hungarian.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Hungarian Proficiency: C1+ level Hungarian proficiency.
  • Standardized Exams: Experience with standardized math exams (e.g., SAT, ACT, TMUA).
  • Teaching Experience: Previous teaching experience.
