The Quality Problem Solver leads the plant's structured problem-solving activity for complex and recurring manufacturing issues that impact quality, output and customer satisfaction. The role coordinates cross-functional teams to identify true root causes, deliver sustainable solutions and drive measurable improvement in key plant KPIs (COPQ, scrap, PPM, customer complaints). The role also coaches and develops the plant's problem-solving community.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities using structured methodologies (8D, A3, Shainin Red X, Six Sigma DMAIC, QRQC).
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (Engineering, Maintenance, Production, QA, Supply Chain) to solve complex technical problems.
• Select and prioritize problem-solving projects based on Pareto analysis and business impact (COPQ, scrap, customer complaints).
• Support customer complaint handling with robust 8D responses; interface with customer quality representatives when required.
• Proactively anticipate roadblocks, remove obstacles and escalate to management when necessary.
• Ensure that problem-solving standards and methodologies are consistently applied across the plant.
• Coach and develop plant problem solvers; grow the internal problem-solving capability.
• Report on project progress, financial savings and team development to plant and functional management.
• Contribute to the introduction and continuous improvement of plant-level problem-solving systems and standards.

Key Expectations

• Engineering degree – Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial or similar.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Process Engineering or Manufacturing Problem Solving, preferably in automotive or high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and manufacturing processes.
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 / 6.5.
• Fluent English and Hungarian (written and spoken).

Nice To Haves

• Shainin Red X practitioner / apprentice certification.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Practical experience with QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control).
• Statistical software: Minitab or JMP.
• Dashboarding: Power BI.
• Data science tools: Python or R.
