The UAI group of companies provides market-leading local and cross-border debt collection services for municipalities (local governments) and private companies in the field of traffic-related late fees and administrative charges throughout Europe.

In recent years, we have become one of the leading specialists in the international identification of affected vehicle owners and the recovery of unpaid charges.

In our offices in Budapest (HU) we are looking for a full-time Financial Controller (m/f/d) with remote possibilities.

Tasks

• Participation in the annual business planning of the parent company and the member companies of the group, as well as in the preparation of the mid-year forecast
• Quarterly/monthly/weekly/daily reporting (P&L, Headcount, KPI, CF, ...)
• Preparation of actual/plan/forecast analyses
• Preparation of other regular and ad hoc decision support reports, analyses and calculations
• Active participation in national and international financial projects
• Preparation of accruals for monthly closing
• Liaising with internal and external accountants of member companies in Hungarian and English
• Depending on knowledge: managing the conversion of payments in different currencies into HUF

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional experience
• B.Sc. degree in economics, ideally qualification as a chartered accountant or accounting knowledge
• Solid accounting knowledge
• Strong MS Office skills, excellent Excel skills
• Power Pivot, Power BI and data visualisation skills and knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 Business Central as a plus
• Fluency in written and spoken Hungarian and English (German is an advantage)
• Openness to new challenges, willingness to learn
• Experience in foreign exchange swap/hedging processes advantageous
