Data Analyst
for our global team in Budapest.
The role:
This role will be a fundamental part of Material Management transformation. This role will be develop analytical tools to decouple planning from Product Availability risk communication and critical reporting to support the business asks. Examples are;
- Rough Cut Capacity Planning;
- Automation of a 1020 report or similar (PO Management reporting) future and historical;
- Quality rejects;
- Service items;
- Expiration reporting etc.
This role will work closely with the Supply Chain COE to develop analytical tools to mitigate any possible risk on Material availability and deliver insights across brands and regions with a combination of modelling/analytical skills, data management and business insight. This role will anticipate and tackle multimillion-dollar business problems and opportunities to transform the way ELC does business. Using data visualization, and analytic tools to create the business building insights in mountains of data.
This role needs to be an effective communicator, self-motivated, and able to convert insights into actions that improve the business results. Needs to mine terabytes of data, derive actionable insights, and translate complex outputs or algorithms into simple conclusions that will empower others to take action.
Description
This position is accountable for the operational day to day management & creation of Power BI reporting suites for the UK & ROI Supply Chain. Collaborating cross functionally to create new Power BI reports to help drive efficiency, decision making, risk identification, cost analysis & visibility across the various functions & responsibility levels.
The candidate will also manage & maintain the existing Power BI suite of reports, helping tweak, improve & ensure all remain fully operational and accurate. This role will have an overall bias towards Online Supply Chain work area, helping to build out best in class reporting and supporting the DTC Supply Chain lead on building out Online Supply Chain reporting and adhoc initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- The ability to transfer technical information to non⁃technical stakeholders.
- Ingesting data from a variety of corporate data sources and performing required transformations in the Power BI query editor using a mixture of the UI and writing code.
- Utilizing effectively the navigation features in Power BI (e.g. bookmarks, drill⁃through) to guide readers through a compelling data⁃driven story.
- Provide technical support and guidance through prototyping, testing, build, and launch of Power BI products.
- Data Modelling.
- Developing calculations in DAX which are accurate and performant on large datasets.
- Designing effective layouts using Data Visualisations best practices.
- Review KPI suite for the all of the UK&ROI Supply Chain function and where necessary identify trends and take swift corrective action to correct.
- Work with functional leads outline the specific data needs for each functional area supporting the development of KPI dashboards.
- Actively participate in continuous process improvements for all aspects of UK&ROI Supply Chain that will drive efficiencies and improve service levels whilst optimizing costs.
- Managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes and fix any defects identified and documenting UAT scripts.
- Build relationships with online carriers. Develop online carrier reporting through current tools and identify future tools to improve and expand reporting and functionality.
Qualifications
- Experience in the use & creation of reports within Power BI
- Good understanding and experience of the end to end supply chain process, supply chain measures and KPI's
- Proven experience in using MI/BI reporting tools
- Commercially minded, proficient in reading, interpreting, and analysing numerical data and translating into business strategies
- Extensive MS Office experience with expert level Excel skills
- Ability to quickly analyse and assimilate data and make recommendations based on this
- Ability to influence peers and management on your perspective or decision making
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the credibility to effectively build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders both internally and externally
- Ability to align and engage the team to achieve the Company's vision, strategy and goals
- Strategic thinking, able to think at speed and quickly adapt to changing demands
- Self⁃starter with a meticulous and precise approach to their work
Responsibilities
- Combine and apply functional knowledge, technical ability, and understanding of business requirements to create effective data visualization and dashboard outputs spanning the broad portfolio of Procurement and Source to Pay processes.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all visualizations and reports through testing and validation.
- Collaborate with IT to design and develop data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files) to automate the input data ingestion of data visualization reports.
- Support the design, development, and enablement of automated reports and scorecard publication and distribution (e.g. NPrinting).
- Cross-functional collaboration with data analysts, project manager, and business stakeholders to understand specific reporting and analytical view requirements.
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.
- Compose and maintain the documentation of the end-to-end process of data and reporting products for future reference.
- Provide necessary training and support to the end-users of applicable data products.
- Establish standard operating procedures and make recommendations to enhance the end-to-end data value chain.
- Proactively identify areas of improvement on existing reporting and data assembly processes or establish and test new hypothesis.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics and business intelligence.
- Ensure all SLAs/KPIs to our stakeholders are met.
- Ensure that new/revised business needs are translated to daily operations and roles and responsibilities.
- Provide backup support within the team. Be part of maintaining a motivating workplace and safe working environment for all team and department colleagues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or IT.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as QlikView, Tableau, Power BI, or similar, and other data analytics tool (for example Python, Macros, R, SQL)
- Analytics knowledge
- Attention to design beauty and use convenience (UX). Applying design principles such as colors, typography, information hierarchy, and so on, a designer can build stunning and easy-to-understand visualizations
- Abstract intelligence to be able to structure models, logic analysis and data management.
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English
- Good analytical & problem-solving abilities, e.g. identifying patterns & variations, and the ability to communicate & explain said solution/s
- Good time management skills, with the ability and willingness to work across, and manage multiple projects and deliver on deadlines
- Good ability to foster a team relationship with co-workers and all agency disciplines
- Strong interest in the beauty industry is a plus
- Creates an accountability and own it culture
