Prologis is seeking to appoint a Billing Analyst within our Real estate and customer experience team to support our Hungarian business. The candidate will work closely with Hungarian Leasing- and Real Estate Customer Experience teams but also with the broader Pan-European Operations and FP&A team to ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness and maintenance of Billing procedures and lease records in Yardi.
We are looking for an analytical, problem solving, pro-active person with keen eye for details who will play a key role in billing, collections processes and reporting.
It is essential that the candidate has excellent communicational, analytical and time-management skills, can read and understand the economic terms of (lease) contracts and has an affinity with database software. Given the international environment in which Prologis operates, the candidate must have excellent communication skills and must be able to communicate confidently in Hungarian & English.
What’s needed in order to do that:
  • Prepare and issue regular and adhoc invoicing to our customers in monthly/Quarterly/Annually/Ad hoc production cycles of all recurring + non-recurring billing processes (rent, utility, other)
  • Directly responsible for invoice accuracy
  • Works with the accounting team to ensure correct allocation of tenant receipts and manages tenant refunds
  • Responsible for collection and aging procedures, reporting, late fee invoicing
  • Maintain accurate customer related information such as parent company data, credit position, bank guarantee, security deposits, contact details, indexation set up
  • Timely control of transaction entry, month end and monthly reporting cycle
  • Shares and initiates process improvement ideas to increase efficiency
  • Assist with the analysis of operating expenses and capital expenditure on assets
  • Establishes after-invoice cycle process to prevent mistakes and prepare for the next cycle (performs transaction reconciliation)
  • Works with other Real Estate Managers and Leasing team to resolve client issues
  • Participates in the year-end Service Charge Reconciliation process
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the direct manager
  • Advantage but not a must: General knowledge of Hungarian accounting principles and VAT
Tell us if you’re ready
  • 3+ years of relevant (international) experience in Finance, Accountancy, Billing or other relevant field of financial responsibilities
  • Ability to read and understand Hungarian and English;
  • Work in accordance to procedures and work instructions;
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • Good time management, ability to deliver under time pressure
  • Expertise in Real Estate is advantageous but not mandatory
