Assistant Camp Counselor (Volt alkalmazott) – Ashburn, VA – 2017, október 11.
I was able to fit into the culture at the YMCA well. The managers were nice and very understanding. If a coworker had any problem they were able to take time out of their day to answer questions and concerns.
Network Administrator (Volt alkalmazott) – Claryville, NY – 2018, március 13.
Coming into this facility from an enterprise background was a massive culture shock. Everything is run very sloppy and disorganized. It is a beautiful place to work if you enjoy the woods like I do. But there were very out of place priorities at work here.
Supply Caregiver (Volt alkalmazott) – Ottawa, ON – 2018, március 13.
No negative things to say About YMCA, very flexible schedule, especially for people on call. the pay is decent, management works well with workers, and the benefits are amazing. one of the benefits includes an all-inclusive gym membership.
Lifeguard/Swim Instructor (Jelenlegi alkalmazott) – Bonney Lake, WA 98391 – 2018, március 13.
A typical day working as a lifeguard is tiring on your feet and stressful. Everyday, you stand for at least 3 hours non-stop. Working at the YMCA has taught me to work as a team and made me more of a hard working person and more focused on my jobs because someone's life could literally be in my hands. The workplace culture is very "teen based" and there is a lot of different conformations and difficult situations that happen just between staff. The hardest part of this job is memorizing what to do during each save, and making sure it's correct and you are doing your best. The most enjoyable thing is making a unique relationship with members to come to the YMCA to swim and being able to talk to them like friends.
Child Care Worker (Volt alkalmazott) – Sumner, WA – 2018, március 12.
I enjoyed this job, but it was also very stressful! I worked in the childcare department, and the amount of kids that came through the doors was astounding. The managers were amazing with working with school schedules though, especially at last notice.
Camp Counselor (Volt alkalmazott) – evanston – 2018, március 12.
it was just really cool the kids are really cool depending on what grade you work in so kids can be kind of trouble sum but they are kids so of course you are gonna run into problems anyway highly recommend
Pre-school Teacher (Volt alkalmazott) – Harrisburg, PA – 2018, március 12.
The management team is great. always there to assist. My co-workers are also great, easy going. helpful and reliable.A typical day at the Y is full of fun, working with the children is very awarding and can be a great learning experience.
Camp Counselor (Volt alkalmazott) – East Hartford, CT – 2018, március 12.
It's your average child care job in the summer so kids want to do whatever they want plus they're hot! but it's a great place to work just somethings the managers don't know what they're doing so you have to make things up on the fly. you have to be able to do that often especially if the weather changes up.
Work at your own pace and as long as the work gets done and the clients are happy, management is happy. Not really that high of expectations, so you will need to be very self motivated to stay entertained
Child Care Worker (Volt alkalmazott) – Mayfield, KY – 2018, március 12.
i learned alot from my supervisor and she taught me alot and the hardest part of the job was punishing the kids when they done something wrong. the parents told me to put them in time out and if they didnt listen then get them.
Sports Department Intern (Volt alkalmazott) – Boerne, TX – 2018, március 12.
I first started working at the YMCA when I was a Junior in High school. I liked it because they let me choose the days I could work and the hours werent stressful. However, the lack of managment was stressful and it was like me and my co workers new more.
I would come in and the kids would be sleep i would watch over them and make sure they were okay til 2:30 . We wake them up one by one and start potty breaks and then after that we get ready for snack time , i lay snacks out they eat snack and i play music for maybe 15 minutes. Afterwards i clean up their snack and by that time it will be time for outside, we go outside for about 30 minutes to an hour.
