a typical day was a decent day ! I worked when I had to work!I learned a lot how to be safemanagement was okay! just needed better management to run the company it would have stayed open! run the company like roadway not yellow! it would have stayed open being more profitable! Averrit, act cooper, saiaculture was great no problemno hard part of the job ! do your job and work hard thats it!enjoyable part of the job ? going to work ! knowing you have a place to retire!

He let you do your job and was always helpful when needed.What is the most stressful part about working at the company?This was a union company and they took advantage of it. The extra board what is the most annoying part about working now and the low pay

It was OK working there, but getting laid off because of miss management. Other factors was very distressing and annoying. The extra board was the most annoying part about working there. It’s basically on call work they call you two hours before the start of your shift and you don’t have a schedule so you’re basically on call without on-call compensation.

This used to be a decent company, but the big wigs (CEO and others up there) totally ruined it by taking HUGE bonuses and leaving all the people that worked hard for the company nothing, and these HUGE bonuses were right before they filed for bankruptcy and closed the doors putting 30,000+ employees out of work.

insurance is very good ,,paid pension a lots vacations and sick leave 5 a year so im working for 32 yrs im not objections I put half on my live on this company but now is closed

Fun while it lasted.

I had fun working there when it was still reddaway. Worked there for 2 1/2 years until I left in January 2023. When yellow took it over and combined all their companies into one, it was a complete disaster. A total dumpster fire. Upper management had no idea what they were doing and the closure at the end of July didn't surprise me one bit. I saw the writing on the wall when I left. 30,000 people lost their jobs without warning and the union and management were equally to blame.

If you miss high school this is the place for you! Lots of gossiping, cliques, and savage individuals! I started as a part time position but didn't get the full effect until I was hired on full time.

Decent pay with OT, great work rules protecting workers from arbitrary discipline and work outside classification, top tier insurance. Unfortunately management ran it into the ground, RIP

Another perk was the time off and vacation package, pay was mediocre and the people that worked there were awesome.What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Retirement planning is awful and senior employees were basically forced to continue to work. they went bankrupt due to really bad corporate management decisions. loved my job when it was Holland. when YRC decided to combine all there companies together it was a disaster.

Decent job, good people, good work/life balance

(NOTE - Moved this review from Y E L L O W page which people have mistakenly identified as Yellow Freight's page)Pros:- Plenty of opportunity to improve, never without a challenge. A company that wanted to change and most (but unfortunately not all) leadership were supportive of it.- Good benefits. Union benefits for hourly positions were incredible. Salary average. Travel benefits easy and comfortable.- Overall, good people. Both corporate level and in Terminals. There were vipers just like any company, but mostly from the organized labor elements that knew how to game the system.Cons:- Organized labor and challenges of this outdated model. First time I had worked in this environment, and not much accountability at all. Shockingly bad for business.- HR and Training, very poor. Relied on local operators and travelling engineers and ops to do it. Another unfortunate consequence of relying heavy on Unions. All local charters had their own rules. Heavy turnover of terminal managers made training inefficiencies even worse.- Too much unwillingness to change, both at ground level and higher levels... or maybe no understanding of the change expectations in modern business.I enjoyed my time there, but I wish myself and others who knew the expectations and procedures needed to improve the company were listened to more often. Not sure though if anyone could have avoided the shutdown. Most organized labor LTL carriers have gone out of business because of this model's limitations. Yellow was one of the last remaining.

Was A good place to work, received training from teammates that help higher positions in previous work. Work life balance was good, alot of traveling and filling in for operational roles.
