Providing Disney's Stellar Guest Service for Peanuts
Disney Planning Center Coordinator (Jelenlegi alkalmazott) – Orlando, FL – 2018, március 9.
Disney currently benefits mostly from it's work culture; that is, from the others you work with. You will be hard pressed to find better co-workers elsewhere.
Unfortunately, that is where the pros end for me. The pay is terrible here and does not improve even at managerial levels. Higher ups receive far too much of the pie and they have little to do with the image of Disney. Most front-line employees are treated as peons and are easily replaceable due to Disney's work culture. The pros of the job feed the cons sadly which is bad for us but good for Disney in the long run.
At the end of the day, it can be a fun job with some nice perks (free admission/Disney discounts) but many cannot live on their own. If you live near Disney (within 15-20 miles) good luck finding a 1 BR apartment under $1200 a month.
Try it out, it can be enjoyable but don't get sucked in if you are looking for financial security,
Disney perks, work culture
Pay, work/life balance
