This place the management is ruthless. They only look out for themselves . They treat their employees bad so they can advance their careers. That's how you advance at the USPS. There is no support system in place. It's a do I say not as I do environment. At times it's a hostile environment. They also put their employees in danger by making them deliver in the dark. They push their employees to brink. So no the USPS isn't a good place to work. If it went out of business I wouldn't care. Read into this review want you want, but it's true. The USPS is a terrible place to work.
If you want to advance and accept the responsibility there are numerous opportunities. Educational achievement is somewhat important yet the culture is similar to crabs in a bucket. So you will need to be cautious yet very professional.
Job Security, excellent salary with benefits
crabs in a bucket mentality and blocking for advancement
I had to ask union APWU to see if I could get a shift change because of pregnancy. It took a lil while but by Dr orders my shift was changed. It was difficult but the union made sure I received a shift change.
