I worked at the Dallas Post Office during the Holiday season so my position was temporary. For the most part it was fun yet tiring. I had never done any type of work like that before so at first I was completely lost on what to do and the regular employees really didn't have time to properly train me so I learned as I went along. Some of the supervisors were very helpful while others who knew I didn't know what I was doing expected me to know everything already.
Rural carrier position is a fun position, it is a stressful job due to large rural carrier routes. Things I'm learning at this job are different streets and areas of the city in which I live. Work atmosphere is fun and educational.
Decent job if you are young, don't wait until after you are 40 to start carrying mail, pay is decent but not worth the work strain, management is amazing...at my office anyhow, I could not ask for a better boss!!!
