Please, do not consider working for this employer! I have worked in New Orleans at Central Carrier Station and Bywater. Believe me, it is the dog house! Mail is all over the place from the time you clock on until you return to clock out. Customers complain daily of not receiving mail for weeks, because the workload is so heavy, and there is no respect or proper training for the CCA's, it makes them bring the mail back. They will throw you in unfamiliar territories with a full route of mail/parcels, plus extra time on another route and expect you to complete something that is impossible in the time allotted. Regular carriers do not come in, because most play the system and/or on light duties. When they are near retirement, they will do what they want and Management won't say a word! This job will have you an anorexia! You try so hard as a CCA to get the mail out until you don't even take a lunch break. You sweat out every liquid you take in, and if you're not use to walking, your legs will lock up. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY TO USPS...YOU WILL REGRET IT!
