There is Good, Bad & Ugly at USPS
Arc Delivery/Priority Mail Driver (Jelenlegi alkalmazott) – Delaware – 2018, október 10.
First off I want to say I been a postal worker over a year in my community and got some great experiences from it. I enjoy the hard-work, the pay, the hours given and not having managers down your throat as you travel to people's places to deliver their mail or packages. You get to meet a lot of interesting people, the job keeps you physical and active, and most the time those you work with are pretty down to earth.
But that is about as much praise as I can get...and the many reviewers on Indeed.com don't lie. To start off as an Arc (Assistant Rural Carrier) you are only guaranteed Sundays and delivering amazon packages, might get extra days if are lucky. As for RCA (Rural Carrier) you are basically enslaved and have to work countless hours in whatever they want you to do, No full time benefits unless been there for years, favoritism, outdated vehicles and equipment, bad managers and postmasters, no flexible hours, they do not care about your life, will work you to death. And many other things...
Good Pay, Good Work & No Micromanaging.
Work you to death, no real benefits for newcomers, horrible managers
