There's little to no organization and structure, half the times the schedules are wrong, holiday work is disaster as management barely puts up a schedule for those days and expects a full volume work day to be done with just a skeleton crew. OSHA violations abound, little to no enforcement of safety standards, which you're obligated to sign the stand up talks of. Problems and conflicts are often ignored or swept under the rug, pretending that there are no problems. When they do address something, they will always argue in their favor, you will always be wrong. Preferential treatment given to certain employees who spend extended times taking breaks, calling in, or generally failing to perform their assigned tasks, and that work load is given to other employees that already have their hands full. Be ready for repetitive mechanical physical movements, most postal employees develop physical ailments, such as carpal tunnel, joint pains and arthritis within their first six years. You must be able to lift up to 70lbs and push/pull weight is unlimited, most of the times by yourself. Having a bid (job positions) does not ensure that you'll be working it as you may be displaced to work other areas at any given moment.
