Overworked for sure. I was the only one that could do my specific role, and they refused any kind of backup. There was a point where I was throwing up sick and had just been in the hospital for 3 days. I still had to have work finished by a deadline and there was absolutely no one to cover me. I had to get FMLA from my doctor before they were willing to cover me in the slightest. I came back after a month to piles of work left for me. I finally asked for backup and they denied it. I left for school finally because the stress was weighing on me so much. I could not do it anymore, especially while going back to school. They refused to demote me or give me a part-time schedule when asked after 4 years. Im happy I left. They don't value their employees at all. Benefits are good-ish, but keep going down. PTO was about the only benefit.

Ho fatto un primo colloquio in cui mi è stato detto che se avessi terminato con feedback positivo dei tutor, questa excellence school academy (java/spring sql) di 6 mesi, mi avrebbero poi assunto con contratto di apprendistato, l'ho terminata con feedback positivo e mi propongono un contratto a tempo determinato. Non serve dire altro.

At one point in time, with the 10 years that I was with the company, it was a great place to work. Sadly, they have offshored most of the programming to India, and left the engineers in the US as the liasons. The work done in the states is superior, but the company wants to save money by having develop done more cheaply. The US engineers and customers are the ones that get hurt with this.
