Employees are under appreciated
Sales Associate (Volt alkalmazott) – San Francisco, CA – 2018, március 6.
I worked in Macy's for one year and 6months, and they laid me off, because they prioritized the employees with more seniority, I have worked during the holidays, upto 60hours a week, thinking that I am needed because some of the employees prefer to take a day off, I always chose to stay late until closing thinking that i didnt want to leave my area with newbies/holiday hire, it not just because of getting more hours of overtime, it was my option to stay and take care of my area, but what did I get? nothing, Macys do not appreciate the hardworking employees, they opted to keep the employees with more seniority, while base in my experience, those with more seniority tends to take more off or vacation time, they usually work atleast 20hrs a week.
The management requires you to open or have customers sign up for a Macys credit card, to the point that it became a requirement per week. My job is a sales associate, but my area is near the foodcourt, i became the general customer service for questions regarding macy's card account, for returns even though the items doesnt belong in my floor, i was giving parking validation stamps, and i take care of the Buy Online, Pick Up in Store area. so yeah, they give more jobs that you can handle, and you handle them with grace, but in the end you wont matter to them when it comes to cutting off employees.
no pros. just the chance of getting more hours of overtime
Convincing customer to sign up a macys card
