Management is horrible

They dont care about you managing only care about the numbers quick to suspend or fire you for the smallest reasons stuck in same position forever barley give u a raise

Do not do it

You do not get actual vacation time you only get PTO time which equals to two weeks but need to be accumulated which takes almost two months to get a single day off but of course you get 10 floating holidays which doesn't mean anything because if they deiced you are off on that holiday they take one of them. No real work life balance. The pay is not that great when taxes and insurance get involved. They also keep changing everyone's shift so don't get too comfortable with the shift you get. The warehouse is not temp controlled either which it could be since all the doors are kept closed. LMS is a joke so don't fall for getting higher numbers because they will expect that instead of their usual requirement. The health insurance is also a joke. It cost too much to see someone and also how are you suppose to see a doctor when you can't get time off. Managers pick favorite so if you aren't willing to suck up you will not be liked. They recently changed their shifts because to have less mandatory overtime but wasn't even a week before they required it again like usual. Fair warning look somewhere else.

Home time is decent used to be better

A decent place to work home time is pretty good used to be better. Communication is pretty poor and you pretty much take care of and handle your own issues while you’re gone doing the week

The new general manager in the operations manager are horrible The keep changing the shifts to keep people quitting That nobody wanted in the first place Treat all their good associates like garbage

Very Good Dedicated Shuttle Route

Working here was pretty simple and easy-going. There is little to no micro-management as long as you comply with D.O.T & company (warehouse) standards. Traveling the same route and seeing the same people everyday so you know exactly where you're going and what you're doing. New leased equipment and up to date trailers with air slide tandems. Manager is easily accessible if there's any issues possibly for overtime if needed.

Decent

It was decent, but I wouldn't recommend if you get frustrated by unfair, borderline bullying from your supervisors. The job is way overpaid and room for growth is scarce at best.

The culture is real

The Cherry Valley/Rockford location is a fairly new facility, which has its own hardships in itself. I am certain this facility is not the same as it was. From the moment I started, I felt welcomed to the team by everyone in the facility (warehouse and office). Sure, every workplace has a few of "those employees" that may not have the best morale. Those types usually work themselves out the door. The foundation and mantra at this location is simple, applicable, powerful and shows throughout the building. The company "sell" is not a bunch of fluff... They mean what they say and do as they say. There is room for advancement, appreciation for your efforts, and hard work is not unnoticed. The benefits are great and the pay is also very good. Schedule flexibility is also great. I am proud to be a member of the Kenco Team. If I had to provide a negative I would have to say that the only downside is that the facility is open 24-7-365 however, it's not a downside if you are looking for a non-typical shift that works for your family.

It’s okay… could be bettee

I’ve been here for a while and looking to leave as soon as I can. This is a very stressful atmosphere at times and highly demanding for going “all-in”.

Most relaxed warehouse I've ever worked at.

Most relaxed warehouse I've ever worked at. They will work with you and I mean really work around anything you have going on. Work load is easy supervisor's will not bother you if your doing your job regardless of how slow or fast you are as long as you work.

Pointless job with truly horrible people.

The places screams how much they try to save money by hiring incompetent management who don't even have to come to the office. And yet, they find a way to micromanage anyway.

Over worked

Management treats you like garbage. If you like being disrespected, this is the place for you. The only good thing is you get paid every week and free ice.

Kenco hires great people and can be an rewarding atmosphere.

I liked working at Kenco overall seemed to be a great caring bunch of people. If you can move with the company. Great work experience and resume building for a better position.

Coworkers great, management not so much.

The time I was working for this company was good, until a service manager was hired in November. He talks down to people, “knows” how to work on everything, micromanaging every little thing, and does not trust others. Upper management goes with what the service manager says, not what an employee with a lot of time with the company. The other techs were great to work with, lots of hours, and overtime if wanted.

been hear since just after it opened. Good place to work with good equipment and good coworkers. Boss is great very open an direct not afraid to get hands dirty and ehlp either. Supervisors gotten better over time. It is very busy and safety is main priority.

Great place to work. Managers are hands on and meet frequently with team to hear our feedback. Long hours but it is seasonal. Great culture with opportunity to grow if you put in the hard work.

Only work there if you’re ready to be set up for failure because that’s all they do is set up for failure and need an escape goat to blame all their mishaps and rip off companies they work for

To sum, at Kenco, it's micromanagement on a global scale

Performance reviews / pay increases / recognition are a complete sham. Advancement / recognition is not commensurate with actual performance and cumulative work experience. Poor decision-making by management has created a breeding ground for a culture of disrespect, both directly from management and amongst the employees. There are inequitable consequences for incidents of unsafe forklift driving / accidents, particularly between the various shifts. Advice / suggestions from the employees for improvements are rarely taken despite the use of a suggestion board, which expects you to adequately express your thoughts / ideas / suggestions on a very small piece of paper, that management NEVER asks to follow up with a personal discussion of the idea. Extremely poor / inadequate training of new employees. Management over analyzes various unimportant work details while completely ignoring focus on basic matters that require attention, which accounts for the micromanagement assessment. All of the above have resulted in a very high job turnover rate and extremely low morale in the workplace.

Good place to work. Safety is first and foremost.

Been there from day 1 at my site. Starting pay was pretty good. The days can become hectic if orders fall behind. Sometimes you don't know if you're assigned to inbound or outbound, depending on who called off that day. If you stay current with all processes it's not a problem. Other than that it's a good place to work. I have good co workers that take pride in their work and value teamwork.

Basic warehouse job

The site I worked at is a mess. From HR to Managers to Supervisors and Leads. My advice to corporate, get rid of the day shift OM and HRM. Bring in some new blood. A lot of the salaries also could be cut or combined into one position.
