Great environment, it’s very peaceful and calm. You’re never in the same place everyday do it doesn’t become boring. Managers always come quickly when needed.
Every 3 hours
Health and safety of workers is last concern as JC Penney is in it's final days. Currently going through chapter 11, Covid 19 running rampant in this distribution center as the most experienced employees here abandon this sinking ship and take early retirement, get other employment, or simply stop showing up. So, leadership is in decline as this old warehouse falls apart
Management cut your hours down to 30 or less when ever they want even though there’s work at the floor. Some positions are underpaid for the amount of work they got to do.
Monday through Friday/Sunday through Thursday
I worked there awhile ago and hated it. TERRIBLE HOURS because early AM shifts you have to be there extra early to park, get through security then walk like miles to get to the clock to clock in then you might have to wait in line at that. All terrible. So even if you're on time your commute INSIDE of the warehouse and the lines made you late. Even if you make good numbers co-workers were really unprofessional when I was there. They were petty and got jealous when they saw you doing better than them. Breaks were too short and practically over by the time you got to the breakroom because the warehouse is so big. Once I blacked out while standing and lost a ton of weight due to an insufficient break but the only concern was production. A break outside was always spoiled by people smoking so you were inhaling a good amount of funky secondhand smoke. Around that same time, another got robbed out there near the bus stop so I just say be careful but they tried to rehire me and I was like HECK NO. I really hated it there, the worst job I ever had.
Managers were highly disrespectful and talked down to me very often overall bad experience and company integrity.
Managers were highly disrespectful and talked down to me very often overall bad experience and company integrity. Was never properly trained, had me train my replacement without my knowledge.
If you work in a JCPenny factory there are 4 possible job placements that deal with packaging products. For the amount of strain this puts on your body the compensation is extremely far from fair. When working you will feel like a zombie no matter how cool the ac blows. The most enjoyable part of the job is you have to work 4-5 days and the rest isn't enough to recover for anything.
Poor Management. Stockholders concerns only. Manager did not help when it came to Workers Comp claim. Not my type of job. Lazy woman doing clerical work.and talking all the time.
I use this job as a means for movement and exercise. The hours work well with my current obligations. Good for students, and those who need flexible work hours. Could make a career starting in this position, however, not a career in and of itself. Certain managers are more friendly/helpful than others. Work within a team, but independently within the team. Great if that's your cup of tea. Bring your own work ethic, show up, and it will work out great.
Active job; part-time available; small discount
Somewhat friendly, but leaves a lot to be desired.
