Daily task with floor presentation, assortment of merchandise, purchasing procedures.
I learned how to buy inventory for retail sales and correctly markup for profit. Practice the turnover procedure for merchandising. Got good knowledge of clientele tastes by analyzing sales reports, identifying fast movers. Personnel scheduling to covers store need of operation hours without affecting department assigned payroll budget.
To many levels of management with different points of views.
Average workplace culture, poor professional advancement, not tied to the same evaluations rules, mostly measure on department manager own perspective.
Even though in was very interesting, the Company Assortment Plan had specific purchasing requirements that not always matches the customers taste (countries and cultures have buying differences), making the purchasing process a little hard.
Keeping updated in products and services.
