This could be a great place to work. However, there's no real support from upper level management and HR is not a go to place for employees. The team they have hired is amazing but they lose the best people due to lack of staffing and an overload of work and responsibility. The working conditions are sub-par at best and most times you are not given the proper tools to complete your assigned tasks.

I worked there for two years at minimum pay, no raises. The head of HR was like a dictator. If you crossed her you might as well quit. The head of the hotel was giving a tour to clients he introduced me by the wrong name.

IHG was a great place to work. I was there for 13 years. The only reason I stopped working there is because they closed all their US call centers thus laying me off. If you are lucky enough to work for them they truly do care about the work/life balance of their employees, and they prefer to promote from within.

IHG is a great company. The colleagues in the office are friendly and willing to help. It is one of the nicest corporate cultures I have ever worked in and I actually look forward to going to work. Leadership really cares about their employees and there are multiple engagement surveys to ensure we are delivering at our highest level. Processes are being changed to make working easier. The offices are open floor plan which, depending on your work style can be great. Many teams have flexible hours and the global environment gives local colleagues the ability to work from home time to time.There are employee resource groups where it is easy to find mentors and opportunities to learn at your own pace.

The IHG corporate office in Dunwoody is a beautiful campus with lots of perks. There is a very diverse work force and many opportunities to advance or relocate as it is a global company. Best part of working there is the people and the product, worst part is regular company reorganizations.

High Turnover makes for a heavy workload. When properly staffed the job is great. Some employees have been at the hotel since opening which has its pros and cons.

The hotel is an elegent in stay or meeting space Flexible set ups accomodation The hotel has heratige elegance to urban chick for travellers with discerning tastes It's always getting awards Staff is happy and loveable and pleasent to work with Everyday you meet different clients trravelkers and learn new things in culture and everyday life You enjoy the atmosphere full of life and harmony smiles of staff and clents happy to be there The hardest thing for me was when Icould not make someone happy eg price, award, or they were not happy with stay at Intercontinental Everyday you will find staff or clients with a bad day but I always gave my best to put a smile

Great organisation to work for. Great benefits including uniforms, duty meals. I started with South Pacific Hotels group which IHG took over the Management rights. I had worked for Accor but convinced to return to IHG.

The Cleveland InterContinentals are in dire need of real management. There are 2 hotels and both Directors of Front Office don't know what they are doing because they have no experience, they were hired based on who they know. The hotel manager doesn't care because he is only looking for the next stepping stone on his path to becoming a GM. The GM is amazing though. Exactly the kind of GM you would want him to be. Too bad he doesn't realize that the very team that should be building his home hotel (he is a Regional Director of Operations) up, are the very ones breaking it down. It's really shocking how a bad upper management team can destroy a great hotel. Director of Front Office gets away with discrimination and harrassment because HR doesn't want to deal with it. If you're salaried expect to work 6 days a week, 12 hour shifts. You have a family? Who cares? The hotel is more important. 9 MANAGERS from the front office have left in the last 2 years and 2 more are about to quit. Not a good statistic.

first of all there is no job security its poorly managed and short staffed so you have too work twice as much work everyday for no compensation.

Overall, the hotel offers great benefit and working condition. However, I don't really get work/ life balance even when I am just a management trainee. People are great there but need to work on making the employees feel attach to their job.
