Caring company

People are never happy, no matter what a company tries to do, and a lot of that is shown here. There is truth to some of the turbulence in 2022, but we now have a new CEO and several products in the approval process, so that should settle some of the angst. Benefits are unmatched, and continue to evolve/improve. The company constantly reviews compensation and takes action to be competitive. There are a ton of temporary and permanent opportunities for development, but I can understand that some of that is dependent on having a good manager. The only negative is the antiquated view (industry, not just Biogen) that you have to be on-site or hybrid to be effective. Most roles can be done remotely but the mindset just isn't there.

Biogen has a great work culture. I love working with my team and the science is great. They also provide competitive benefits and perks. Overall a fun place to work

Good Science, Okay Okay Management. The management part is poor. In general pay and benefits are good. Company has resources to provide. Job insecurity is more because of poor management. Work culture is not the best.

Fun internship with a transparent company, but program structure was lacking.

My managers were very transparent and accommodating to my needs as an intern, pay was decent and mostly remote. Felt like there was lots of opportunity to learn from different departments in the company.Only issue was the intern program wasn't structured well so sometimes was left with nothing to do/ did not learn as much as I could have.

Good company to work for with great benefits and perks and offers sabbatical. However salary wasn't competitive especially with the amount of new companies moving in the area.

Productive and Fun Workplace

I enjoyed working for Biogen. The training I got was very valuable. There are many high performers and lots of opportunities for growth. The pay and benefits were fair.

Great work life balance

I really liked working at Biogen for the time I was there. The work life balance was very receptive. They have two weeks where they are shut down for mental debriefing. This is along with your regular vacation package.After a few leadership changes and product lanches that were not to expectations. That is when the culture changed. I would over all recommend them but you will have to work through the major changes in some areas.

Good company that could use work

Really good company that has some nice benefits and decent culture. Biogen could use work with pay equality and promoting diverse candidates in the IT department.

Excellent place to work for

Pros:1. A day is mostly 8-5 job2. New new implementation, tools etc.3. Excellent people to work with4. Follow up with business, due to the nature of work5. People respect your work, and happy hours :)Cons:Nothing which I am aware of, contractors gets full respect as a full time employees.

Due to recent changes in pipeline, the company will face an imminent change in leadership. This can be good news. Teams continue to be focused and delivering in the daily business.

Good company but no career growth in IT

Great company but being the nature of the business , there is no growth in IT. Management is very supportive and understands the concerns people have and almost are always ready to find solutions to those problems , but you can’t expect too much IT growth in a pharma company . But company overall is very solid

Great company undergoing growth pains that are impacting culture

The experiences of a few years ago are quite different from those at present, and the change is not for the better. The solid foundation and history of the company should help them weather this period of time, but there are a lot of disengaged employees looking for new opportunities. With the recent lay-offs it will take time to rebuilt loyalty and trust.

Great benefits - PTO plus sick, 401K with match. Medical, dental, vision options with employee paying part of cost. Pay is competitive overall, but highly incentivized for sales roles. Equity is needed..Overall very good.

Nice people

Was there for a summer internship. Everyone is very nice and hard working. Had a great time here. They also provided relocation assistance and sometimes uber eat cards.

Stagnant

Organizational maturity is stagnant and has been for at least a decade. High rates of contracted staff and reorganizations keep institutional knowledge cycling through the same failed approaches. Significant resistance to meaningful improvements in work processes.
