Worked in data service for three years, so many turnovers and all as a result of management who had no clue what they are doing. Very racist culture, only push to have “local” people. Those people who stay have strong connections inside company and zero knowledge. They bully and speak rudely with employees. They abuse them with lots of work until they burnout. Silly gestures of happy birthday emails but when you need them and there is any issues they are silent.

They constantly run more studies than we have staff for, and continue to take on more when their staff is already dropping like flies. Unfortunately this has led to poor animal care. Do not work here if you want to remain empathetic. It will suck the empathy right out of you. We do our best for the animals but management continues to put their hands in their ears so they can't hear us.There is good job security since they won't fire anyone except for the worst offenses (falsifying data).

Management does not listen, not at the site level or at the corporate level. No one is held accountable. People are more interested in tearing eachother down than supporting eachother. Upper management plays favorites.

I loved my job for a while. My coworkers were awesome and the experience was great. However, management is toxic, and they don’t appreciate anything. Instead of trying to motivate people, they often tear them down. In a job that is already stressful and under appreciated, management makes the job so much worse.
Upper management does not appreciate their employees. They do not care to know what their experience or knowledge is according to the job they perform. The new company came in and cleaned house and replaced quality people with their own incompetent people. Then other good people quit. The company does not have a bright future. Without competent people, you won’t Have quality research.
Typical day at work includes answering phone calls and making calls to get people to do studies. Very bad system, we are given lists of names to call of people who do not answer or who are not interested. The team leader, supervisor and manager of the department are very condescending and rude. They do not have any training on working in management setting and it is very obvious. Do not care about you and laugh in your face when you bring up concerns. There is a rule that if you miss your break by more than 15 minutes that you lose, but what happens if we are on a phone call at the time of our break? The other employees are very nice, but management needs to be replaced. They make working there very hard.
Very much people get stuck in a position and are unable to train or go elsewhere. Lower level workers are super overworked and underpaid. Management is unclear about roles within the company and found to be unhelpful and not knowledgable when they should be.
Company has multiple sites and each site is not treated equally. Primary office gets special perks (ice cream socials, staff BBQs and other staff morale boosters) and other site staff do not get offered these incentives. In addition, culture and senior management presence falls short at all subsequent site additions.
Management is hit and miss in terms of efficacy, there are many meetings, and the turnover is high. On the upside, the company offers promotion opportunities and over time compensation for those willing to work extra hours.
Technicians and analysts are poorly compensated. Benefits are not even mediocre. Alta is where it is at because of lack of competition so basically it grew because of other CRO's shortcomings. Hours are long, and compensation for the lower positions is just lacking. Some improvement was made, but much more needed. Not all managers are the same and working in some teams can actually be fun.
Lousy salary, on call position,no benefits offered after the probation period,poor management and no motivation and appreciation of the hard work.No normalized schedule.Each day is different so you can't plan anything in your personal life.If I could give zero stars to this company I would.
